Over the weekend I made a couple of brooches, for my Mum and for Paul's.

Not very much at all.

The top one took about 2" square, just to cover the button. The bottom one, the button was covered using a quilting piece about 4" square, and I made the puff by drawing a circle around a cereal bowl - so probably about 8" across.

it's a really nice way of using up all the scraps that I thought were too small to make anything from. :)
